that is the worst attempt at a low country boil I have ever seen.

first off, I don't even understand the logistics of doing it inside like this. at least have the dump out on a screened in porch with fans if you're gonna be all genteel and shit.

Zooming in on those taters show clearcut signs of not being cooked enough

    They're basically half-raw

    visible-disgust

Eugh, that is literal slop. I'd say have some self-respect but no one should respect a cop.

I've had a crawfish boil, it aint supposed to look like that

Dumping it on the table, fine, padding with a lot of veggies and store bought shrimp, fine. But the undercooked veggies, overcooked shrimp and utter lack of seasoning or other seafood is a crime. I don't see any garlic or anything either, just some loose onion layers

Yeah this is called a Lowcountry boil, as someone else pointed out.

Still grossly undercooked/unseasoned, but it is supposed to be shrimp and sausage.

just shrimp and sausage? idk lol

but yeah, it doesn't have to be crawfish but some variety would be nice

this is a fairly common way to do it in the southern US for crawfish boils, shrimp boils, etc

usually there's a ton of spices added as well, but this is spotlessly plain from the pics, probably the saddest looking 'boil spread' I've ever seen

You're also supposed to dump the food out on a table outside so that when it comes time to clean everything up you just pull up the trashbags you used as a table liner into a ball and dump it in the nearest trashcan/dumpster. Dumping all this inside is just disgusting; even without actually spicing anything, that break room is going to smell like seafood for the next week at minimum.

My latent Louisiana swamp DNA is encouraging me to do adventurism upon seeing this

How do you fuck up a shrimp boil this badly. My meemaw was blind in one eye, riddled with arthritis, and also sometimes incredibly lazy and she would easily make seven pots of crawfish boil no problem

    What in the fuck

Is that true? Because that shrimp does look REALLY gross.
