I'm not sure how it fits into this specific issue, since there are a lot of lib men who use this line of argumentation too, but the whole "return to civility" in politics is something that early forms of feminism had a lot of. I feel like you're right that the lib drive overall towards politics of respectability isn't necessarily always a gendered thing. But the attempts to stifle loud leftists (and historical representations of Jewish men as particularly 'loud' and 'abrasive') are real shitty
I think you could at the very least trace parts of the sentiment back to 2016 when Bernie was accused of "mansplaining" Hillary during the primary debates. While the tweet in the OP doesn't explicitly call this out, its hard to overlook that narrative.
