This should genuinely have been the future of cars. Small, light, aero, cheap, funky. All of that is what makes a car fun to drive and so few new cars even attempt to do it.
I'm thinking of making something like this but even smaller and lighter for myself, if I can figure out how to legally drive it where I live.

Damn that's a hella interesting article. Two people claim to have made the design and it seems plausible that either of them could have at least according to that page. Who knew that iconic design had such controversy behind it.
