biden will win, the budding leftist movement that built up throughout the trump era will die overnight, neoliberalism will reign triumphant again and all socialists will be shunned again for another generation; Biden, Obama, and Hillary will be hailed as the greatest American heroes of our time; libs will instantly stop caring about kids in cages, imperialism, class politics etc. The overwhelming narrative will be that Trump was just a aberration and that Biden saved American democracy

That's right. Do not organize. Do not help others within your communities. Do not support mutual aid groups. Do not arm yourselves. Stay here doomposting. It's actually really beneficial to me and my benefactors. Thank you.

all libs are going to do is double down on obamacare. That will be the "left-wing" position for at least the next few decades. Have fun in neolib hell

I'm sorry how does Biden stop you from organizing? Like are you saying he's going to ban organizing and stuff? Surely you weren't under the impression that electoralism was going to help you?

Focus on material conditions of the individual. Peoples lives are shit because of neoliberalism. Focus on that, then work outwards to the kids in cages.

The team blue people were never on our side anyway. Only like 30% of the country will vote Biden, many reluctantly. We need to focus on the people who are effected by both sides like the growing homeless population, the 10s of millions without health insurance

Like the other person said, focus on material conditions. They will continue to degrade even with Biden in office. People will still radicalize. You're focused too much on idealism. You're posting under the impression that what people think their material conditions are matter more than what they actually are. It doesn't matter how much MSNBC says Biden is good, if people can't feed their family it won't matter.

You seem to be confusing the most vocal libs online with actual opinions of people. Go outside please. Material conditions aren't going to magically change under Biden lmao, there's plenty of opportunities to radicalize

My bad, I forgot how for 8 continuous years, not a single person in America turned away from capitalism, no mutual aid was done, no unions were formed, and every American loved the housing crisis

the American "left" didn't vote for Trump, it voted for Hillary. The American "left" utterly worships Obama

Please talk to actual people, I'm begging you. Obama doesn't have full-throated support amongst liberals, regardless of what you believe from MSM/blue check marks

And you're repeatedly overlooking that ~40% of voters just simply do not vote, and there's material reasons for that. You could actually try to engage with those people

Or you know, stay terminally online and convince yourself that what you see in your TV is an accurate representation of the American people

You keep changing what "left" you're talking about. The left means us. The left voted for Obama when they were younger, and then he turned his back on them. That's how you got Bernie. The left got bigger because of that. Obama helped create the left, as in us. What the "left", as in liberals, do doesn't really matter. Some of them will radicalize but a core group never will. That's fine. They can continue voting and brunching. But don't confuse what they do with what we do. We're getting bigger, and that's pretty undeniable. The real left has been growing under Clinton, Bush, Obama, and now Trump. It doesn't matter who's in there.

Biden has been telling young people to fuck off this whole campaign. So guess what? We're about to have another wave of leftists come into the fold.

Is your theory that leftist movements can only run under republican presidencies? The left was darn near nonexistent under George W Bush, its been struggling to recover since Reagan and the fall of the USSR

Biden's presidency will probably include one of the greatest depressions in US history, massive police protests, and the corona pandemic. Biden is incredibly unpopular compared to 2008 Obama, and Obama was pretty unpopular by his end of term, almost as much as trump now

no, the overwhelming narrative (which Americans will accept because they're the most propagandized people in the world) will be that Biden inherited a country ravaged by Trump and brought it back to prosperity. He will be taught to future generations as the savior of America

Things will literally get worse in the next few years. Massive stock market collapse, and I'd be surprised if he passes a single bill. The modern left exists because of the failures under Obama, the idea that biden will recapture that moment and do even better is ridiculous

The Dems will abolish the filibuster so they can pass a full agenda's worth of neolib garbage. The lib media will act like this is the most profound revolution in world history. Meanwhile the American imperial murder machine will continue unabated, without even the token objections we saw from libs during the trump era

Your zeal for American disappointment is laudable, but your idealistic framing is ironically not blackpilled enough.

It doesn't matter if libs win or whatever the fuck, and it never did. The imperial core is insanely propagandized, but even moreso (and worse than being a pesky twitter lib), the American population by and large has totally checked out and doesn't think it matters or that they affect anything.

It's not that leftism in the US will die overnight. It's that if it does, that tells you it never even existed in the first place as anything other than an aesthetic container for liberal bourgeois society to defeat conservative bourgeois society for control.

This means we arent back at square one, it means we never left it.

But, on the bright side this also means none of this election shit matters, what matters is the material conditions, and not even the lib absorbtion of crisis can save capitalism from the choice it necessarily will make. (Fascism or otherwise.)

We gotta organize to make sure it goes our way. That's the only real leftist project in the US. If you think this election is even a blip on that timeline you're a fukn lib.

Face it, we fucking lost Consider this counter argument: no So much fun ahead: a senile president, China rising, Africa industrialising, Europe going from crisis to crisis, a growing left in Russia, North Korea starting a new 5 year plan etc. Get some popcorn! Also take many hugs. Its okay, u got this. 😄
