Vin Diesel is the reason the 3rd Edition of D&D made thieves into "rogues" and made them actually good at combat instead of just Chilchuk-like lockpicking specialists. He was an advisor on the edition and wanted to play his Riddick character in the game system.

Inside you there are two character concepts: a convict and a merc.

Can't forget the sick ass Chronicles of Riddick shooters, literally founded the studio for the games and they're good as fuck too. Somehow even manage to still look good for being 20 years old. Have to pirate them though, there's no way to legally get the games anymore (not like anyone here has a problem with that lol, it's just hard to find)

I only remember one line from that movie... they're in a stand-off and someone goes 'what is this, r*tard bingo?'

I bet Chilchuk would be good in a fight if he weren't a lil dude tho

oh snap i just realized the changeling plotline added race essentialism to dungeon meshi

Oh yeah, I mean even in the anime Chilchuk is demonstrated to be a crack shot with ranged weapons and mostly he just doesn't want to fight.

I just needed to think of a contemporary example of a not-so-combative pre-rogue thief template in D&D.
