I find this comment quite amusing, assuming that you are still early in the series.
But yes, Laios is a huge nerd, and his behaviour is very relatable for me, a person whom other people would likely call a 'huge nerd'.
EDIT: On second thought, Senshi is also a huge nerd. But he's a quiet huge nerd.
