Not many on this site seem to understand how this virus works. The worst has not even hit him yet. It's a slow process and usually takes 2-4 weeks to kill someone.

Trump bullying his way out of the hospital against doctor's orders and downplaying all of it so he can be a tough guy to his supporters, is not going to help him one bit. I say give it by Thursday-Friday, or maybe even this coming weekend, and he's going to be in much worse shape and going right back into the hospital.

Keep rooting for it but adjust your expectations to absorb disappointment.

No thanks, I'm in all the way.

If he survives I'm just gonna pretend he died and that they're using a combination of Weekend at Bernie's and body doubles to make him appear alive.

Yeah, but Boris didn't disregard the doctor's recommendations either. This fucker is leaving the Hospital on his own because he is.. alpha or something?

Boris took it seriously, Trump doesn't seem like it.

That's a really fatalist line of thought for a disease whose treatment is a longwinded game of probabilities. If you want to rate the way Trump's body is going to perform against the rona from 1-10, where a 1 means he's fucked no matter what he does and 10 means he would've been fine with some Tylenol and a good night's sleep, taking this shit seriously and constantly listening to the advice of your doctors and accepting their recommendations for treatment can be the difference between a 4/10 being a scare or a killer.

idk I thought they were acting like whether or not corona has your number is set in stone once you catch it, when it's still very dependent on the medical care you receive as well as other day to day factors.

Oh, okay, heh, I'm slow. Was thinking fatalist meant pessimistic.

Taking shit seriously generally means shit like not claiming to be fully recovered right after being treated with a steroid, not using that full recovery as an excuse to leave the hospital 10-14 days before the disease usually reaches its worst point in a given patient. Treatments means shit like taking whatever medicines the physician (who is seeing you 2-3 times a day) says, being less active and putting less strain on the body, taking supplemental oxygen/being put on a ventilator when he needs to be. Risk of death is still very much in play, and whether or not these decisions are made, these treatments provided, in a timely manner affects his odds day by day. Also, this is not just life or death. How well he follows the advice of medical professionals could be the difference between escaping relatively unscathed or coming out with permanent lung damage and an increased probability of blood clots for the rest of his life.

        Boris took it seriously

And still hung on there by a thread. It's not like he came bouncing back three days later.

Yeah like @lvysaur said Cain did not have access to literally the best medical care in the world and also happened to be black (which predisposes him to worse care from Drs by default due to medical racism)

But he was also bourgeois, so he had perfectly good care and race was less of a factor.

damn, i might even be starting to think that class is always going to be the predominant factor when it comes to the source of discrimination. makes you think...

Race absolutely was not a factor with Cain who was rich and could afford the best medical treatment.

Few of you on this site seem to understand how the coronavirus actually works. It takes time before it becomes fatal and we're not even a full week into Trump's confirmed infection. Given what we know of him refusing oxygen and fighting with doctors to act all tough and now bullying his way into an early release, things aren't looking good for him. We had conflicting stories as his staff is trying to downplay it, meanwhile doctors said it was more serious than they were letting on but Trump won't help himself cause he has to put on this tough guy act for his jackass supporters.

Come later this week and going into the weekend, I am sure he'll be in rough shape and end up right back in the hospital. We need to wait a full 2-4 weeks for it to really damage him. It hasn't been enough time. You people need to actually read about how this virus works instead of throwing in the towel too quick.

Trump's probably going to live but it looks like it'll take him long enough to really recover that I don't see him getting reelected or having the energy to any kind of serious election stealing.

It hasn't even been a full week since he was confirmed to be infected. No one has given it time for the worst to kick in.

This is not a fast moving virus. It's slow and takes time to really develop. By him bullying his way out of the hospital like this, refusing oxygen yesterday and generally being a dumbass about it, he's not doing himself any favors. Just watch and wait until later this week and by the weekend, he'll be right back in the hospital. I say give it about 2-4 weeks before it really takes him.

Cain didn't have access to cheat-code antibodies. Trump is going to live.
