Reminds me of the streamer who was part of a communist party, was told no one smokes in cuba, and when they went to cuba, their boyfriend got drunk and hospitalized, and they saw some nurse smoking on her break

It broke their tiny little brain to the point they condemned communism forever lol

shit, compared to other countries of the western Caribbean, Cuba is a paradise even under the embargo.

as bad as it is to have the US as an enemy, it seems worse to have them as a "friend".

I think it's worse than that. When he says socdem he might be refering that he was a support of PSDB (Social Democrat Party of Brazil, which is/was a neoliberal, pro-US, conservative party), his reddit and twitter posts go back to 2015 and seems like he already was anti-Lula and anti-Workers' Party. He probably think the Workers' Party is a communist party lol.

You can't have a paradise if it's under constant siege, threats of violence and subversion, and under sanctions. The NGOs are real!

They use “leftard” as an insult and use libertarian talking points. This seems more like a liberal.

Edit: national subreddits are right-wing shit holes. The Lebanon subreddit hates Hezbollah and thinks the country should be governed by France.

the country should be governed by France.

I know a south African who wishes it were run by the UK.

Said person also believes SA is not a colony and white people were just there first.

There used to be a good Cuban subreddit called something like r/Cuban_Republic that had people who actually lives in Cuba and mostly talked about news and stuff from there.

Iirc there were two very active users there, a guy that was a member of the Communist Party, and some random girl that just posted about life in Cuba.

Brazil lol. His twitter page has this as his profile description.

Technology, air travel, coffee and wine aficionado. Libertarian. Wannabe polyglot, definitely prolix.

He retweets (at least he used, since twitter is banned in Brazil) a bunch of pro-bolsonaro stuff and calling Lula the usuals things these people call him.

No idea if he was socdem, he has been posting anti-workers' party stuff since 2016. I think when he means he was socdem, is that he was fan of the Social Democratic Party of Brazil, a Neoliberal Party that was the main opposition during the 2000's and 2010's until it exploded due to corruption and drug traffic scandals.

          his social media says this:

Medical Assistance: Cuban Red Cross. Oct. 2005 - Oct. 2005 1 month. Disaster response and humanitarian assistance. Volunteer in the rescue work for Hurricane Wilma in Cuba.

Volunteer Royal Caribbean International. Jan. 2008 - Mar. 2008 3 months. Poverty relief

G.I.V.E. (Get Involved Volunteer Everywhere) is a Royal Caribbean charity program that involves employees in the areas where it operates around the world in volunteering in underprivileged communities, donating to noble causes or even tutoring students in those communities. I took part in volunteering in Antigua and Barbuda, at a shelter for poor children with disabilities.

It seems like is he also has a bunch of problems with Brazilian law due to tax evasion. And maybe he should keep his personal stuff more private, seems like a GenX bazinga brazilian guy. He had a blog or something about Cuba, but it's dead now, there are some archives on the wayback machine, he has posts from 2005 saying bad things about Lula and Cuba while he was a volunteer in Cuba.

Yeah, he was lying, dude is no socdem, always was a neoliberal that turned in an ancap. He probably is 40/50 these days and now posting anti-woke stuff. He also has a really sus website with xxxtor dot su as the handle. I am not clicking on that shit to see what is it. Dude is probably just some neoliberal early genx Brazilian that really has a bunch of American brainworms mixed with Brazilian brainworms lol.

Unlike in America where no one ever stifles people who voice their opposition to the political system
