I also wonder if some of our big posters abandoned one account only to create another. I'm sure some have
"My inbox has 999999 unread messages. I'll just make a new account to get back to zero."
This is a lot of people on Hexbear, at least to me. Id start naming them but the list would be too long and I'd forget some
I specifically miss the people who's comments I've saved who decided to delete their accounts and wipe out the comments I've saved the most.
I miss Rem, she was my first friend on here
I used to over think messaging people to say hi, but I'm glad I (mostly) got past that. It helped me make some really good friends on here that I'd tag, but don't wanna embarrass :p
I remember the matress on floor struggle session Zara created in the old megathread on reddit.
And no one can forgot @gayhobbes@hexbear.net
Mattress on the floor is just living that Japanese futon life. I did it for 8 years until my futon was about 1 inch thick where the imprint of my body was and finally upgraded to a platform bed with tatami and a nice firm latex/wool futon.
Now I'm pissed whenever I'm in a hotel because all the beds are mushy shit. I need it to feel like a board with a blanket on top, dammit!
Summoning the ghost of zara to get you. Jk.
A mattress on the floor is not the same as a Japanese futon, which is cool and fine. The futon can be cleaned and gets packed up regularly.
The mattress on the floor gathers dust, gets moldy and is bad for your back.
That's the magic of online spaces. I've had a few people in my past that I was relieved to just see alright.
I doubt I make any form of impact on anyone on this or previous iterations of myself on this board. And I'm okay with that. It's usually only a select few that make a billion posts or respond to everyone or what have you and I just never do/did that.
I'll remember you as "the person who's painting a forgefiend" for at least a few weeks.
lmao, I love it. Maybe even longer once I finish it. Which it is almost there.
@Edie@hexbear.net is that poster for me. I love to read your comments.
I have been posting on my tumblr and seeing users like it that I remember from a decade ago
