Pretty much all of the first generation of JPL and later NASA was built on using Nazis to develop aerospace technology to kill the Korean and Vietnamese fight the spread of communism. This is not surprising in the slightest. Doesn't help that the astronauts themselves almost always were war criminals.

In 1945, Parsons separated from Helen, after having an affair with her sister Sara; when Sara left him for L. Ron Hubbard,

Jack Parsons is exactly who I was thinking of! I meant both literal NSDAP members and the esoteric fascists like Parsons, the ideological fathers of the JPL.

NGL my first reaction was “Buzz Aldrin? Didn’t he die a decade ago?”

Niel basically retired after his moon landing IIRC, but Buzz turned into a speaking engagement farmer and is on a lot of talk shows and podcasts and stuff.

It's the third guy whose name nobody knows.

I never heard about Aldrin in Poland outside of specific topic of first Moon landing, even articles about space race rarily mention him. And that game was the first time (and one of not many) i heard about him and the only reason i remembered him since it was a good game.

God damn it, why you doing this? Just enjoy your last years of life and remember that the Trump followers are the ones more likely to say that you faked going to the moon and are a deepstate plant.

It was a bit, and I know for a fact mankind has been to the moon. I've been there myself on multiple occasions. I spread crystals of my frozen piss on the US flag.

It's pretty old. Earliest reference I can find is a 12-year-old reddit thread on r/WTF. Apparently he was one of many people holding a flag and shaking it to make it look like it's waving, but the zoom makes it look... different.

Guy who simultaneously believes humans have never gone to the moon, but also believes that when we did, there were aliens there.
