the main character, a poc woman, annoys me
because she's obviously british doing an american accent
she's obviously british doing an american accent
oof double cringe
I haven't played it, but I'm guessing she pronounces every letter in the word "button" like some kind of heathen?
I haven't finished it yet but it's most apparent on words like "our" and "cauldron"
Horror game for Gamers where the main character is forced to call people by their pronouns
So after obsessively getting into No Man's Sky these past few weeks, I declare it to be a super-woke game for several reasons. First, every single character, player and NPC alike, is a non-binary they/them. All dialogue reflects this.
Absolutely none of the character visual customization options, nor any of the NPCs, is a sexy human woman. Everyone is in bulky space suits. The only "skin" ever shown, if you can call it that, are the various alien head options. But you can easily customize the colours of your suit to reflect all sorts of pride flag options.
ShowBut most satisfing is that both your starship and your jetpack engine trails can be easily changed a beautiful vibrant sparkling rainbow with a single option.
ShowIt's weird how bi pride is aesthetically my least favorite pride flag, but as soon as you put the colors on anything else than a flag, i absolutely love them.
No kidding. I just found a planet where the grass on the fields is vibrant in bi colours. Of course I established a base there, it's an incredibly beautiful world. Lakes all over, calm critters, resources, in a solar system with a variety of other worlds of various types, few if any sentinels, calm weather, it's perfect.

i like how the thread about Dragon Age on r/Crackwatch is filled with people being thankful for the quick release, people asking if it's worth it and the rest are crying about woke and how EA needs to PAY them to play their woke propaganda the G#mer is the lowest form of chud
The nursing home segment is far from the scariest bit, but different strokes I guess.
Also who thought dead space was scary? its a haunted house with monsters popping up every 30 seconds ad nauseum.
horror fans will be like "who thought [one of the most acclaimed horror games of all time] was scary? literally didn't even flinch"
i think they're sexy as hell, but not all of us are so blessed
Not being scared by horror games is kinda sad tbh cos that's what makes them fun. Kid me was scared of all of them I remember the constant tension I'd feel playing dead space or silent hill. Don't really get that anymore
Peaks for me in horror recently were resi 2 remake and resi 8 baby section and the entirety of darkwood
Oh Im definitely still scared by horror games. Parts of AW2 scared the shit out of me. I just started playing Amnesia: The Bunker and I have to turn it off all the time. Just started Soma as well and its doing the same! Dead Space just gets so predictable about halfway through and just becomes hallways with monsters that you're going to dice up with overpowered gear.
Dead space do be shoot enemy then 180 to shoot behind enemy. There's always a behind enemy. Still need to play the bunker but even thinking about it makes me feel stressed lol
I got stuck at one of the chase scenes in Soma. A sideways submarine maze with physics objects blocking my path was a little too much for me to figure out.
Didn't the sweet baby Inc CEO do a ton of horrific emotional abuse and overwork of their employees, or am I confusing this with Annapurna?
Alan Wake 1 was kind of a cult hit. Me and a friend obsess over it, as well as the cutscenes in Control.
