Wife to Vince McMahon, also known as the former WWE head, who herself served a big role within that org for decades. Vince had to step down due to being a sex pest

        Also I didn't know this

[Vince] McMahon later resigned from TKO in January 2024 after allegations of sex trafficking and sexual assault. [Vince] McMahon is currently under a federal probe.

ed. changed 'Husband' to 'Wife', god I'm tired

I'm going to do the reddit thing and say the title was ackshually "To Serve Man", but the reason I mention it is that the pun works much better with the uncountable noun "Man" than the countable plural "Humans", because it's more like how we speak of most types of meat, as an anonymous, indifferent material (lamb, beef, pork, chicken), and I think that's kind of interesting.

I was attempting to riff on the name of "Health and Human Services" but "human" probably still would've worked better than "Humans"

confirmation processes will test the loyalty of Senate Republicans.

Not to worry, I'm sure they'll pass with flying colors.

    Chris Hayes post

RFK announcement puts a fine point on something I've been trying to articulate and is a theme of the Trump years. It's something I've wrestled with and that a lot of Dem messaging has gotten wrong. Part of what Trump does is constantly divide the country along the lines of pro-system and anti-system.

And because Trump is such wrecking ball, you end up in this defensive posture of pro-system, pro-status quo. HHS/FDA is a great example.

Of COURSE the US food and drug system is captured and bad in a million different ways: from nutritional recommendations, which are often laughably wrong or corrupted to our outrageous regime of drug patenting etc.

What is it with these RFK style "health" freaks and being against antidepressants? Its like the one thing enabling probably millions at this point to cope with the effects of capitalism. Exercise and organic produce is not a cure all

God, that Graham Hancock guy would have an absolute blast purging the archaeologists. I never did figure out what he thinks they did to him. I feel like fewer archaeologists hated him before he started complaining about the Deep Archaeology State like it's a pack of wild Mayor Petes coming after his dog.

lets-fucking-go oh yeah lets do this speedrun baybee

only plus side is maybe stuff like kratom can be protected from scheduling a bit longer? he seems like he might be down with "natural" opioid "cures"

especially since Pelosi likely is on the way out and her kid is basically the director of the kratom lobby group

but then again he might push hard to get rid of it because he had an addiction so idk
