Turkey has to be one of the worst national actors that is cozied up with the international community right now. Them + the USA sponsor so many genocides it’s insane
Throwback to the time (sometime within the last year) when Erdowon published an article in the wall street journal to legitimize his destructive actions against the Kurds in northern Syria.
I saw a video online of some Turkish soldiers executing two militant female kurds that they captured. Just the worst shit is going on there, and the fact that Cuba has more economic sanctions than Turkey is extremely fucked up
Yeah turkey is like Israel in that, even if the current nation there was something else, it's too geopolitically important to the west that they'd create something in it's place.
The access to the black sea means you never want to be on the wrong side of turkey.
So apparently Azerbaijan is on the verge of commiting genocide in Armenia and nobody seems to give a shit.
Except my Armenian wife who is very depressed about this.

Good interview with a journalist in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh)
Radio War Nerd EP #250 [UNLOCKED] — Second Nagorno-Karabakh War, with Lika Zakaryan
Isn't the conflict just in that one territory that's technically in Azerbaijan? Just trying to understand what's going on better.
Goes to show you how messed up borders from post imperial nation's are.
The area is ethnically Armenian and was given to Azerbaijan by turkey.
Ahh gotcha, I thought it was given to them by the Russian empire before the USSR and it just kinda lasted.
