Unironically, ignoring the basis of having the world-historic revolutionary Russian et al people of the 20s to 60s, a Climate Stalin and 5 year plans are exactly what we need

Even if global warming weren't an issue (it very much is), burning coal is like, really bad for a wide variety of other reasons. Burning things for power is just kinda never great and coal is fucking coal, it'd not know for a clean burn.

Competing with Enbrige who made gloating commercials aired in Michigan flaunting around a cock (chicken) after winning approval with Line 5.

Line 5 is an aging old oil and gas pipeline 20 years past it's lifespan that goes under the Lake Michigan / Huron crossing between the Upper Peninsula in Michigan and the hand shaped Lower Peninsula. It is at risk leaking into the Great Lakes, potentially poisioning the water supply and ruining the fairly clean waters of Northern Lake Michgan.

True but some people could die, before my mom passed away she required an oxygen machine, she had a tank to use if power was out but it only lasted so long, so potentially she could have died if the power went out. If people aren't well prepared for it it can be dangerous especially in the winter.

Yeah unexpected blackouts are v bad, but with hospitals usually on their own power grid (and with their own generators) people in those situations are usually taken to hospitals or other areas where generators are available.

Though if you're in a state like Texas, you're pretty much at constant risk of being fucked by blackouts anyway tbf

What won't chip away at your savings and make blackouts more likely? Catastrophic natural disasters increasing in size and frequency.
