Omg pls no pfp. They're so annoying and dumb to look at. Just usernames is fine, and keeps the whole thing closer to the early internet forum ideal.

to be honest pfp help me distinguish people easier. often times usernames don't stand out and I don't register them as much.

I'm not that old, my first encounter with forums there already were totally tacky pfp as the norm

Every guitar and audio production forum on the internet seems to have normalized the "guitar badly photoshopped in front of a porn actress" PFP.

I imagine that it has gotten worse since Coronapocalypse -- guitar nerds were a disturbingly horny cohort to begin with. Literal terabytes of "2016 Alexis Texas censored by an Ibanez RG" as far as the eye can see.

I just wanted some fucking opinions on how a set of SD Black Winter pickups would sound in split-coil or parallel mode, and if they could pull off a convincing Strat "quack" sound, or if I should just give up, stay in my lane, and get a JB.

(In case anyone gives a shit: yes, Black Winters do a really convincing Strat impression in split/parallel, at least on the 7-string version. Congratulations; now you don't have to wade through a hundred pages of "Schecter superimposed over AJ Applegate" PFPs for that information.)

              Yes, obviously.

Music is such a wild mistery to me, like dark magic but actually real.

It's not actually that complicated, it's just rich fucks want to try and make it more exclusive so they obfuscate things as much as possible.

I watch a spanish youtuber that makes "music ¿theory? divulgation" and it really changed my view of many things and also made me fall in love with the math and mistery behind it. Jaime Altozano is his name
