reminded of the bit in a recent chapo about how 'if the white house spent the costs of shipping and handling to get real christmas trees from a district across the country over plastic christmas trees just because a dem senator has them in their district, there would be an entire news cycle cut out to mock how incompetent a cost that is'

yeah this is what i'd make my drug running look like; bougie salads are easier to explain than the logistics of supplying adrenochrome to an entire campaign staff

At my new company my coworkers always recommend sweetgreen and I fucking hate it. 20 bucks for a salad with too much kale and can of sparkling water.

Also a company with ties to Israel. So it's shitty on a few levels.

We had a local chain place near me that I always loved. It was salads, like good ones, for ~$10. Some cheaper. Breakfast burritos like $3 and giant iced coffee like $1. Wonder if it's still good prices. As they opened more locations they actually kept lowering their prices. Hope they still out there.

The salads are nice when somebody else was buying. Had a BS corporate event where they had unlimited free kale parmasean salads and they were actually good, but they better be at that price

agreed i tried it once and it was not that good or worth it at all. i could make better salads at home for probably 1/3 the cost. i guess convenience is what draws people to it?

      Dear Hexbear user,

We set a big goal to get our fight fund program off the ground, but the truth is, we’re not on track to hit it.

After what we’ve seen of a new Trump administration, our task is clear.

Donald Trump is on a mission to bring our country back to a time when we had fewer rights and freedoms than we do today. And he and his allies are building a government full of sycophants who care more about prosecuting political enemies than providing for the American people.

We need every member of this team to step up and make sure he knows we won’t back down.

Our records show that you haven’t pitched in to support our campaign’s fight fund program yet. This is one of our most critical fundraising moments, so can you donate $50 for the first time today?

Couldn't you just have gotten a platter of veggies and dip and some sandwiches form like a grocery store or something?

    Or fucking pizza?

In 15 weeks Kamala's $1,500,000,000 war chest wasn't just going to spend itself. And I wonder what the actual cost of the salads was including delivery and grifting.

They clarify in later tweets that it was staffers paying for their own individual salads every day and not campaign funds. But still, these guys are so poisoned that they have to have their expensive salads every day.

And, I guess, technically, their wages are campaign funds.

Not gonna lie I struggle to find a decent lunch spot for less than $15 these days. A $10 lunch from 2019 costs $15 in 2024.

Shipped in from out of state too. No need to have some kind of actual connection with the people of the community who might vote for you if your campaign has 50 people tipping them every day
