/r/WhitePeopleTwitter is an example of whites wanting special treatment even when they're already given special treatment. Twitter itself is a white platform, along with r*ddit. It makes sense to have /r/BlackPeopleTwitter to create a space for black users (tho we all know that sub is full of whites doing blackface).

if you're ever astonished when a US American doesn't know this or that well known, surface level, fact about a given country,
remember that same level of ignorance extends to our own country. A decent chunk of us aren't even aware of how many people live here.
So 255 million Americans didn't travel. Also where are these numbers coming from cause I'm trying to find the same information for last year to compare.
