However, the pleasant chat took a dark turn.

During the course of the conversations with Ms. Anderson, the officers became concerned for the safety of her daughter,” said Tindell.

He wouldn’t elaborate on what made them concerned, only saying, “She had made a number of comments that had the officers concerned for the safety of the child.”

A decision was made by the two officers to call Child Protective Services.

A little more than a half hour into the talk, Anderson packed up her stuff and headed to the car. Tindell said, “Ms. Anderson was loading up her car and was apparently attempting to leave the hotel. They were trying to keep her there until Child Protective Services could arrive.”

At 4:19, “Ms. Anderson, while seated in her car, shot and killed Officer Robin,” said Tindell.

You know when you lie to your parents so you omit certain bits just to make you seem innocent but then the lie just doesn't flow properly and it's obvious you're not telling something?

Like do I have to read all the item descriptions to peace together the news story now? This isn't fucking Dark Souls!

Edit: this was meant to be a reply to an article link in another comment 💀

      Evidence Locker Glock

According to local tradition, it is said that this is a weapon of motherly love. This one struck true during the last days of a fetid empire

Don't know much about US procedure, but at least in the UK, evidence and case details involving vulnerable people like children generally isn't shared with the press to preserve anonymity.

This reads initially quite similarly, though I'm not inclined to give the police any benefit of the doubt whatsoever.

These motherfucking pieces of shit are "concerned for the child's safety" so they start firing into the car she's sitting in. Poor mother, if only she had killed them quicker then they might have been safe.

Maybe that chain of events makes sense to you if you believe a word out of a pig’s mouth. I do not so I don’t buy it until they can show actual evidence. Cops just lie

I believe this woman was up at 3 am at a hotel with an 8 year old, which was the only of three kids she had who was with her, thinking she was being followed by a white truck from a different state and getting ready to flee with her 8 year old in the middle of the night.

I also believe she shot a cop in his head. So yeah, I'm guessing cps was probably the correct choice.

Hey, you do you but if I've got my kid with me and I feel that you're a threat to my safety, I'm fucking blowing you away. If this heroic woman had immediately turned and aired out the second cop then that little girl wouldn't have had her life ruined in front of her eyes. I'm so glad that the second cop died, it would have been an absolute tragedy if he got away with murdering this woman.

Also, if you think a cop deserves carte blanche to open fire on a target with an 8 year old strapped in less than a yard from said target, fuck all the way off to hell.

So the mom shooting the cop while a foot way from her kid is a ok, but the other cop shooting at her while she's shooting at him is bad cop behavior? Christ, you're a moron.

I don't think you get the point of a mom feeling threatened for her and her children because you're hung up on "Police good guys".

Imagine that they weren't cops, now imagine they were still armed but weren't White.

I think you'll get it now.

No, the mom shooting only one cop is bad behavior. You have to get them both because once you clap one the other is going to go rabid.

Headline clearly indicates the police initially said she shot herself, doesn't come up in the article. Bizarre
