i mean the guy who has a plan for climate change or the guy who denies it exists. im not going to pretend that bourgeoisie electoralism is going to do anything meaningful for the working class in the long run but god damn just get Trump out ffs, it doesn't cost you anything that you haven't already lost. like if you really think voting doesn't matter it shouldn't bother you to vote so fucking much

Biden's climate plan is so impotent that he for all practical purposes is a climate denier. So if global temps go up 2°C under Trump maybe they only go up 1.95°C under Biden. Technically "better" but the end result is so negligible it's a distinction without much of a difference. Biden's plan won't stop Bangladesh from going under the sea or stop large swaths of the middle east from becoming uninhabitable.

And this is all assuming Biden actually gives a shit about climate change, which I'm pretty sure he doesn't, given he didn't even have a climate platform on his website until well into the primaries.

Respectfully... do you remember Obama's first term and the Tea Party? Q will grow way, way bigger with Biden in charge than it would with Trump. Being out of power is just the thing to turbocharge Q.

I get what you're saying, but I guess my point is that all of these things are happening when Donald Trump and the GOP is in power. Right now the Q folks have to twist themselves in knots to explain away the contradiction of how Trump has power but the things they want to happen aren't happening. If Democrats have all the power, that contradiction immediately goes away. Saying this as someone who used to be evangelical and raised in a conservative context... these people absolutely thrive off of persecution complexes. I'm genuinely not trying to talk you out of voting Biden btw, I just sincerely believe Q is gonna grow more if reactionaries are able to play the victim card.

that's not going away, probably will get worse regardless.

but like how ironic that people who are super-detached from American politics are incredibly afraid that they'll be labeled as liberals if they vote for Biden. it doesn't fucking matter, the whole thing is broke, we get it. it seems pathological to CARE SO MUCH about not voting. voting is just a little chip saying "no far right fascism pls," no, it's not going to fix the US but you should already know that by now. it's a little thing you can do amongst the BIG things you should be doing.

not to mention that your local elections really do matter, i wish more people cared to get rid of my corrupt local state representative, we'd only would of needed a few more people to have an actual fucking socialist in office.

oh yeah that's why so many people on this site are involved in labor organizing. that's why the test of a true leftist here is "are you involved in labor organizing?" and not "are you performatively disengaged from electoral politics?"

diaping out about libs saying "vote!!!" isn't very grillpilled tbh. if you're going to obsess that much you might as well do it, you already have the mind-virus.

Yeah, a lot of people here are engaged in organizing, agitation, and action. Are you calling us libs because you won't get off your ass and pass out a flyer or paste some posters on a wall? Because you won't talk to your coworkers?

... Who denies climate change? Who can listen to scientists? Who likely has a much longer attention span? Who's going to support LGBT? I mean there is recognizable differences. In some ways, in very important ways, no there are no differences but there are meaningful differences that we can't just ignore either.

Trumps terrible attention span is actually great though, he hasn't managed to stay the course on even one major imperialist clusterfuck outside of the US yet unlike basically every other president ever. Trump might actually be the damage reduction candidate for the rest of the world.

Even if that's true I can trust Biden to consult his advisors atleast.

You can do a gesture at the very least of getting Trump out, like no shit it's not going to suddenly make the world a socialist utopia but c'mon really? Fascism, white supremacy and climate change can stay?

The advisors will tell him how many death squads to find and kids to kill. Is that what you're happy about?

An incompetent Amerikan Empire is, in terms of harm reduction, better for the world.

What about the people who live in the US? Women are about to lose their reproductive rights because of Trump. It doesn't matter if the libs enabled him we still have to deal with the fact that the fascist exist.

In a democracy, not in America.

Voting in America is a bad thing.
