Is there a struggle session? I barely know how to use this site. Maybe I'm missing context

I know people have posted about his "inconsistent" politics elsewhere. To which I say for the most part... who cares? It could've been a hardcore neo-Nazi who did it and I'd still say they did nothing wrong in that instant. This isn't some blanket life-long absolution of all his bad posts and opinions. I just think if you're a mass murdering CEO and some person is pissed off enough to blast your ass, well, I understand.

That transcends their other political views. Or, more importantly probably, it is part of the reason they hold reactionary views. Everyone is shaped by the reality they live in. Why anyone would expect any American to have consistent politics or to be on the left is beyond me. The US is insanely reactionary. There is effectively no "real" left here. If you live in the US or west broadly, you should already know this from your own life. I don't know what people wanted or expected here. 🤷‍♂️

Well, if we assume the relationship to be linear, then to get healthcare for everyone over in the usa, you need approximately 29000 CEO skulls. Shouldn't take too long to farm those up!

The real story here is that North Carolina implemented Obama's 2010 Medicaid expansion in December 2023. Which means that North Carolina declined to take free federal money and let people die from lack of coverage for almost 14 fucking years. As part of the implementation, the government is paying off the medical debts of low income people accrued from 2014 to 2023.

Then in September, this company decides to "forgive" 11500 debts right after the government started paying off old debts. That seems suspicious. Why would this company turn down government money from old debts? Seems like the company was trying to scam poor people and realized that the government wouldn't pay the phony bills, so then the debt magically disappears.

Why is it in the news again after the CEO shooting when it happened in September? Because it gets clicks. It's coworker talk. "Hey Bob, ye heard the medical companies are forgiving debts after they got shots? haha"
