This is the logical end result of a party whose culture emphasizes credentials fetishism, norms respecting, and demobilizing their base.

Same shit about teaching across the aisle to win swing voters. Even when presented with research and polling showing this strategy doesn't work, they refuse to budge.

The only way to break through is to try and convince them that they have a rigid ideology, but it's almost always a losing battle. These people are incapable of self reflection.

It’s all about what will win them the most swing states. Because to them it’s not about just beating trump, they want a massive victory to show the country just how unpopular trump really is. And also you win more congressional seats. Which I can understand, but if you’re back just electing more moderate blue dog democrats, then what is the fucking point?

What are they gonna do? Tweak Obamacare a bit? Raise taxes on the rich by 5%? Raise the minimum wage a little bit? We need more than just token reform.

I maintain that Democrats should be running attack ads about how she has sided with telemarketers and will let them continue to blow everyone's phones up. That's the type of banal shit that gets the regular people angry.

"Why should your boss get to choose which doctors you get to see?" is another winning message for M4A that doesn't get used enough. Only the true sickos like their boss.

The best part of "corporate welfare" was that it started as a depression era program to make positions more attractive without paying more. And now it's so ubiquitous that it's written in by law.

America is so fucked that many of the most powerful and influential unions actually think that having your boss choose your healthcare is a Very Good Thing, actually.

I imagine alot of smiling whites in sweaters; "Taking it to the Streets" by the Doobie Brothers playing in the background, while a choreographed dance is performed in the middle of an intersection. After it's over one of two sharply dressed day-traders sitting at a small cafe sips his coffee and smugly remarks to his partner "sooo... that just happened."

Multiple posterboard signs with quotes from the Office awkwardly forced to be a dig a Trump.

It would be a march focused on “more girl bosses in the pentagon” and they’d all be wearing pussy hats.

Dems couldn't stop ACB being nominated, but they could have stood and screamed 'This is a sham. We don't live in a Democracy. Our institutions are a failure.' which would have titled public opinion away from ACB among Dems.

Now the dumb thing is expecting Dems to do anything different. Worshipping institutions is what they do. At least it's starting to make some younger libs question party leadership. I'm slowly radicalizing some family and friends by pointing out that Dems have no interest in fighting let alone winning.

I've been thinking this since I first saw a picture of her, and I'm very surprised I haven't seen this take yet, probably due to lib love of the office

But she looks a lot like Pam right??

The democratic party must be destroyed. Seriously, no ideology, no spine, only bourgeois manners matter to them

Isn't it funny how it's always a slim majority that passes this shit? Like there just happens to be enough Democrats to go along with it to make it happen.

Tbf I could see that 51% being a lot of conservatives then also a bunch of non-political / independent types who really don't think about these things, but ask them if she should be a justice they can't think of "why not".
