The new York Times can't even mention a book without pointing out that the rubes are poor because they sometimes have leisure time.

You fucking proles. You absolute worms. Look at you watching television like worms do. If you had just written Hope: The Inspiring Courage of Daring, you could be a CIA mayor nobody likes. We'd be writing about you if you weren't scum who worship a glowing box like it's your golden bull.

Watching Tiger King is better than having to live with yourself for being Pete Buttigieg.

Yeah, Beto also personally/politically benefited from awarding contracts to a shitty company who built sub-par housing for military personnel... which if he was doing it on purpose to undermine the MIC, that would be one thing hehe

Dems are obsessed with trying to find their next Obama.

Pete, Beto, Kamala, and Biden. They had to settle on Biden as his VP.

Even if he wrote it himself the NYTimes bestseller list is basically a scam, a PAC probably bought like ten thousand copies of his book and mailed it out to donors

My old school liberal dad lowkey had a crush on Pete during the primaries, so I've thought about this a lot.

I think they wanted him to be another Obama: a young, smooth talking, handsome (I guess), educated newcomer that is also one of the "acceptable" minorities to the DNC. (i.e. not trans). If you're not thinking in explicitly critical terms, you might be swindled by one of these types. They excel at saying nothing at all so you in the audience can interpret it the way you want.

A book that is definitely certainly most indubitably a best seller off of its own merits alone and 100% nothing else

Some ghost writer wrote a book under the name of someone heavily propped up by the propaganda machine and it turned out to be a best seller. What an amazing accomplishment.
