Honestly I find it weird how many people seem to be angry at the goofier content here. This place began as a community for leftists who like crass and vulgar humor. If you wanna argue this place has/should evolve past that, fine I guess, but that is what it was began as and we should acknowledge that.

I still can't believe the mods haven't banned everybody except for me, the only one on the site who isn't a liberal, yet.

c/bad being a containment comm too is like yeh, you can block it same as c/fakenews or c/slop. I feel upset when people complain about their being too much beanis posting when I keep 90% of it to within this comm and the occasional beanis comment outside of it. I just want to make my favourite people have a little chuckle and brighten their day if I can. I'm not cut out for effort posting or theory posting doggirl-gloom

Seems like some people still don’t realize that you cannot change shit with the internet.

In a hypothetical world where hexbear changed into a direct-action comm and conducted on-the-ground activities and had a presence in all of the states, I guarantee that we would have eyes on us immediately and/or this place would be shut down

Everyone who complains about /c/badposting not being serious enough hasn't contribute shit to Hexbear either. I don't see them in any of the book clubs or in the more serious corners of the website. They haven't even written a serious effort post before outside of maybe some incoherent rant about some slop they like/dislike, but expect the rest of us to put in the hours to write effort posts and serve to them on a silver platter. I don't see them in the Imperialism: The Highest Stage of Capitalism book club where you can't get more super duper "Hexbear is a revolutionary org where fun is bourgeois" serious than this outside of the Capital book club, which they also aren't a part of either.

I am eventually going to make an effort post that will start a struggle session about how just because YOU don't understand something or want to participate in something doesn't mean that something is wrong or bad.

Nearly everyone is guilty of this. I bet most of you could dig deep and find one thing you really think is harmful for the sole reason of "I seriously don't understand that". I know I'm guilty of it too.

Real harmful things are harmful and should be called out.

"I don't like that because I don't understand it" is not and should not.

Someday. We aren't ready for that struggle session yet. So don't start it until I'm good and ready because that effort post is on my list

I became alive once more. At the dances I was one of the most untiring and gayest. One evening a cousin of Sasha, a young boy, took me aside. With a grave face, as if he were about to announce the death of a dear comrade, he whispered to me that it did not behoove an agitator to dance. Certainly not with such reckless abandon, anyway. It was undignified for one who was on the way to become a force in the anarchist movement. My frivolity would only hurt the Cause. I grew furious at the impudent interference of the boy. I told him to mind his own business, I was tired of having the Cause constantly thrown into my face. I did not believe that a Cause which stood for a beautiful ideal, for anarchism, for release and freedom from conventions and prejudice, should demand the denial of life and joy. I insisted that our Cause could not expect me to became a nun and that the movement should not be turned into a cloister. If it meant that, I did not want it. “I want freedom, the right to self-expression, everybody’s right to beautiful, radiant things.” Anarchism meant that to me, and I would live it in spite of the whole world — prisons, persecution, everything. Yes, even in spite of the condemnation of my own closest comrades I would live my beautiful ideal.

    Is PSB not serious?

I assumed it very much was. The only difference between this and puppies is that the puppies have Sarah McLachlan.

I keep sending her PSB pics in the mail, but I've gotten no response. I can only assume that developing a new commercial takes time.
