This is false propaganda, the SS 'dogs' you see in WW2 photos are actually large aggressive cats, genetically engineered by a select group within IG Farben for the Nazi regime. My research shows that as part of Paperclip a number of the scientists responsible were brought to the US and created a large cat identical in appearance to the noble German Shepard, based on previous work that produced Hitler's cat Blondie. These were then disseminated to police forces around the world.
