How is there a struggle session? Most socialists literally do not like the Democratic Party. She's just right.

This is chapodotchat. We had a struggle session over outdoor cats. We will have struggle sessions billions of years from now, as the sun becomes a red dwarf and envelopes the earth, burning us to a cinder, as people still try to dunk on tankies vs anarkiddies.

The fact that she understands this puts her miles ahead of most politicians and political analysis in the US, however sad that is to us here on chapo chat.

she's right. this wouldn't be a "struggle session" if almost anyone else said that. Of course she's a dem and it seems strange for her to say, but I agree with her.

No sure which is worse. Trying to figure out whether self proclaimed Socialists in UK are actually SuccDems or trying to figure out if SuccDems in America are actually Socialists.

when people in the UK call something socialist it's almost always Keynesian

shes literally a democrat this is so embarassing. im not even mad at her because whatever i respect the grift but god damn you losers are actually making me angry at this point. she says this shit or stuff about neoliberals and then goes on to vote for funding ice. but all it takes is her to say "fuck neoliberals am i right fellow leftists" and you guys cum your pants. pathetic

There's a lot of things she's done, but voting to fund ICE isn't one of them, it's like the one thing she's been pretty consistent on.

That's definitely a stretch, all that bill did was pay people for the hours they already worked when the government was shutdown and it included more than ICE.

Nah, the government had already given them that money, it was either through this bill or through some future lawsuit.

is it not a grift to pretend to do something you arent doing, in order to gain access to resources?

Considering she said a couple of times in the past year that in any normal country her and Biden wouldn't be in the same party I don't think this really proves anything.

Contemporary socdem parties in Europe are a lot more like the Dems in that they support rightward movement of the government than is often credited.

Idk, the swedish socdem party endorsed Pete Buttigieg during the primaries, even though the democrats are nominally more right wing they share a lot of the same political philosophies.

This is because aesthetically Buttigieg is a centrist, which is also the aesthetic they like. They do not overlap with buttigieg that much in terms of policy, but that doesn't actually matter to european succdems. (Because European succdems don't care about policy)

Don't know how this is a 'struggle session'. She's a member of the Democratic party. She isn't a radical leftist or anything. The most Soc-Dems do is push for reforms and think they can change things within the system.
