    I wouldn’t be that absolutist about it. Plastic surgery can be really helpful to people who have physical deformities or have suffered traumatic injuries, people who have successfully lost a lot of weight, and of course trans people.

    People using plastic surgeons as a means to achieve some ideal western form is mostly a byproduct of neoliberalism.

      Right, it's mostly the commodification and hypercompetive system in which it has become a standard practise, that makes it toxic.
