Seeing as my country just announced that we have to kill all mink (the small furry animal used to make coats) due to a possible new strain of COVID being discovered here, 2021 might include sanctions on Denmark. So get ready for an even dumber world event than 2020. Also if a new strain of virus appears and makes it to america, we might see some real shit go down.
A virologist friend of mine who is very involved with the corona says that the new strain we got in Denmark is not actually going to affect the vaccine development. The problem is that the virus can mutate so fast, and once its established in an animal population you kinda have to kill it if you dont want to get further mutations. I think we should probably permanently shut off North Jutland from the world. Perhaps build a wall...
I am no virologist at all, so all I have to go from is the Danish news media, who keep reporting about the possible new strain of Corona-virus. And since the government has decided to quarantine that entire region of the country (northern Jutland) where the industrial farms are, most people seem to think the concerns are pretty well-founded. however there is basically no enforcement of the quarantine in that region and like won't be. So its an appeal to their good senses at most.
Well, apart from a few fines in the parks of Copenhagen, I feel the measures against Corona aren't really that we'll enforced in general... I can only imagine in Jutland... But there is like five crazy rednecks that live there anyway lol
