Funnily enough, the only people i've seen reference fascist theory were well read communists. I did the same thing and took a dive into some of their theory to kind of make sense of what they think, but even stuff like strasserism seems absolutely absurd in how its supposed to work.

Okay, I'll be earnest. Framing something subjective as a self-evident truth is exactly what I said - annoying. An opinion given in the form of "It's almost like $my_opinion" is an archetypal example of reddit/lib smugness that I strongly dislike. And its construction is repeated and duplicated across so much of social media (or at least those two sites) that it feels simultaneously robotic. It's autonomous snark, if you follow me. Speaking personally, it triggers such a strong and immediate reaction because I left reddit in part to get away from these endlessly repeated phrases and idioms and sentiments. Does that make sense?
