Really Nice. Maybe a little First Nations representation would be good (though I'm not really qualified on how that would be done.
The 13 stars call to mind settler colonial symbolism. Blue is too associated with the Democrats, and with the stars makes it red, white, and blue. Cannot emphasize enough how the flag should have nothing whatsoever to do with the genocidal US empire.
Corn makes more sense than wheat, since it's indigenous to the US.
Agreed on everything except blue. The Democrats definitely don't own that color.
This is north america, not the north caucus/black sea region. That wheat should instead be corn.
I like that it's blue, it makes it stand out from other socialist flags. No need to be wedded to red everything.
Nice. Really US-ish format, which is probably bad then.
Maybe the bundles of wheat could be changed for, idk, corn and sunflower cuz those are from America, particularly sunflower is from north america.
What do the stars represent in this flag? Why is the background blue? Why go with a wheat wreath instead of corn stalks?
I doubt a soviet-style union of American republics would feature any of the iconography of the 1776-1789 bourgeois revolution, or would even exist if the US-American working class actually fought to won the revolution somehow were still scared of the "blood red" color featured prominently in most socialist flags. Attempting to design a realistic socialist "USSA" flag borders on utopian speculation when we don't yet know what material conditions or geopolitics are going to look like when the revolution is finally won throughout at least most of the continent. There's an abundance of uncertainties about the specific material details - including really important questions like whether Indigenous and First Nations peoples form independent states or join the union as autonomous enclaves - that would likely be reflected in such a flag design. As Lenin observed in State and Revolution, Marxists shouldn't spend much time on this sort of idle guesswork and speculation, and can only start fleshing out the details scientifically after major historical developments happen to give them the empirical data they need for such analysis.
Didn't mean to be such a buzzkill. Historical fanfiction is a fun thought experiment but there are still a lot of possible outcomes that might escape your imagination and can't easily be captured in simulations like grand strategy games.
I agree with everything you said, but also I want to have some fun with it
it should be 13 stars for the remaining 13 states of the USSA after land is given back to the first nations people and Hawaii gains independence
I like the angle you're coming from, but I agree with most of the criticisms here. The stars should probably go, wheat is a little bit symbolically incoherent, and red, white, and blue is not great for a color scheme. Don't get me wrong, I like the blue field, I just don't like the implication that there is some sort of pride for or legacy of the US here.
