idk maybe. I think he is one of those anarchists who hasn't read any books and doesn't like communism because of the propaganda he has been surrounded by his whole life. hes still garbage either way though.
No joke his video on Antifa was probably what opened the door to leftism in a robust sense for me. I was a succdem before then, but over the last few years (since the video came out essentially) I've been becoming politically educated, organized, and much further left. It all started by realizing politics is so much more than electoralist reformism.
There's breadtube and then there's a bunch of other people who get lumped in with breadtube because they make videos and aren't reactionaries. Like, Lindsay Ellis is a liberal but she's not breadtube, she makes videos about media and stuff.
I think she also got lumped in because she’s friends with Natalie and a few of the others. She’s also criticises capitalism a bunch, but never goes into solutions or alternatives, and she’s also done a video on Marxist media criticism.
Oh, I haven't really watched a lot of her stuff, pretend I was talking about Jenny Nicholson then. She associates with leftist youtubers but doesn't really make many political statements beyond saying it's good to be nice and not a reactionary.
An anti-capitalist who doesn't talk about solutions or alternatives doesn't really sound like a liberal to me tbh. Voting for Biden doesn't make you a liberal.
Breadtube is leftism on youtube, there are no breadtube membership cards and there is no CEO of breadtube intent on using Noam Chomsky to propagandize against a state that doesn't exist.
Even if you're going to insist on this asinine definition where the word is owned by a specific subreddit, the subreddit doesn't even reflect what you're talking about.
There was already a term for left wing youtubers - LeftTube
I've slept on it and realized we've probably just seen people use the word differently, I'm gonna go make fun of rightists instead of talking semantics with someone I probably agree with 90%
They’re socdems at worst, don’t think anyone who gets labeled breadtube is a lib. And some are actually socialists and marxists.

Vaush is 100% a right wing op.
Sometimes people are just stupid and it's not an op

You got me, the CIA paid me to write that
He can be both
But it's more likely he's just the one.
Totally agree.
He's definitely just an op

Vaush is destiny without any property (that we know of)
I think Abigail*/Philosophy Tube is probably an actual Marxist of some form

Synonymous
If you want to see the sub you're talking about discussing the term
But, the sub isn't really relevant when most people using the term could give a shit about Reddit
