Being a human blows
Cats are amazing predators but they are also prey to many creatures, this is why most cats are highly strung and skittish. So they’re perpetually thinking they could be eaten by a friggin eagle or some shit at any time, even if they live in a two bedroom apartment, they don’t have it all easy.
The trick is to dress up in an eagle costume and sneak up on your cat while it's sleeping. That way they know if they do wake up to find a giant eagle screaming at them, it's just their owner and they have a treat.
But what if you were an outdoor cat though :thonk: :thonk: :thonk:
We sort of adopted a feral cat. We had her spayed and provide her food, water, flea medicine, and an insulated shelter. She will not let us come anywhere near her if we are outside. But she likes to troll us by watching us through the window when she knows she's safe.
:sicko-yes:
I love her.
Believe me, I would like to, but she's too feral. Anytime we walk near her she bolts. This has been going on for years. I think she went too long as a kitten without being socialized. But we love her anyway.
It does but goddamn there is something beautiful about human life. Isn't that why we all strive so hard, against all institutional and cultural forces, to promote a higher standard of living? Because we recognize the inherent beauty and possibility of life itself? The left needs to emphasize pleasure and connection--we're all so isolated that we forget how beautiful life can be.
