Tesla's name is rather ironic (yeah yeah I know Musk bought the company wtvr) given Elon's similarities to Edison.
I think in an old interviews he goes out and says that he prefers Edison over Tesla, because Edison capitalized on the inventions while the latter is just a scientist who invents stuff.

I know Edison was a scumbag who didn't actually invent the lightbulb (just made a more efficient lightbulb and marketed it well), but what about the phonograph and motion picture projector? I know the French inventor Edouard Leon Scott invented a machine that made sound recordings, but he never had any intention of playing them back.
