I don't know how anyone uses dating apps with any success

All I want is a lasting connection with another human being that isn't in my crazy family :sadness:

my friend is married with two kids from a dating app so it is possible. My experience was generally a crazy awkward first and final date or occasionally meeting super cool people who were from out of town where it fizzled to just having a cool friend to get drunk with when I visit their area. Which to be fair, I'm crazy thankful for.

Give up, that's the trick. Myself and several of my friends finally found someone when we had given up on dating and dating apps, lol. Seriously though, it's a numbers game unfortunately

I had sort of given up and just focused on myself and having a good time. And from putting myself out there and going out, I met my now wife (through a friend).
