Good luck to any comrades that have to work during that weekend, or have to fly because of social obligations. The case and death rates in the next three weeks are going to be horrific.

What is the big roasted turkey like? I have never had one and they look like a lot of food. Someday I could try to find one and host a nice dinner for rural youths LGBT support WeChat group I run.

Depends on how it's made. If it's properly prepared and cooked it's good. If not it's bad. Best way to prepare is brining for like 24 hours and best way to cook is to cook it with tons of spices and butter, then slice the whole bird, then throw the juices and stuff on those slices and serve. Turkey is bland as hell if done wrong but if done right is so good

        Smoking is also apparently great.

and yeah herb butter rubbed under the skin after properly brining it. More butter to really get it golden.

        and you gotta make gravy.

That sounds really sweet! Turkey is sort of a bland bird on its own, needs sides and stuff, plus serious seasoning to have a good taste, at least the way my family cooked it haha. The mashed potatoes and gravy were my favotire, that with turkey and stuffing makes a nice filling savory meal.

Turkey is good. Last year I made my first one, and it went pretty well! Now, last year I was using my folks' kitchen, and this year I'll be using my own, but I'm still excited for it. I bought a small turkey this year, since it's just me, and I'll be eating leftovers for days afterwards.
