Funnily enough, a big tenet of christianity, repeated again and again in the Bible, is that everyone does have Jesus's magic powers, or, rather, that Jesus didn't have any magic powers, all of the Miracles were achieved by Jesus asking God and God saying I got you boo. According to Christian doctrine if any person has enough faith they can ask God and god will back them up with mojo in the same way He backed up Jesus.
So yah, Christianity kind of does say you should try and get God to heal Lepers by laying on hands in the same way Jesus did. The meme's not wrong.
Fun fact: leprosy was considered an STI in the Middle Ages (since it's spread by touching and any good Christian could see these guys had pissed off God something fierce). The Church provided houses with basic necessities for lepers, but made them swear abstinence as punishment, even if they were married and even if their spouse was also a leper in the same house.

Except leprosy is only transmitted by prolonged (I'm talking months) contact with lepers. I remember reading about how Jack London spent a few days in the leper island Kaua'i and had a picnic with 800 lepers and, you know, he was fine lol. So yeah, unlike COVID you can spend time with like 50 lepers in a closed room and chances are nothing will happen to you.
