When I was a kid I fell asleep every night to a VHS recording of Shelley Duvall's Bedtime Stories and now I'm exclusively attracted to people with big eyes and buck teeth. 🤷
I've been doing a quarantine playthrough of my first ever childhood game, Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine and not only is it still incredibly enjoyable, I think I"m gonna explore more genre games like Tomb Raider that I never played
for me it was GLaDOS. i have no idea what that means, but it might have something to do with my type being Evil™ and smarter than me.
i was about eight and closeted, weird shit happens lmao. idk, it might have something to do with having been in an enviroment where other women being fierce and autonomous and academical was Not A Thing, and that was the first time i'd really been exposed to the possibility? or maybe i was just young, gay and confused, who knows
I had a youthful crush on Azula from ATLA. I’ve been seeking out healthier relationships now, but smart and narcissistic brunettes/ravens have always been my kryptonite. Lol
Not sure if problematic, but I loved shit like Atlantis and the road to El Dorado.
Looking back now, and marrying a mixed(culturally and ethnically) WoC, I can't help but wonder if there was a connection.
And to fit in, she was also a bit of a goth/indie girl when we first met so there's that. I've watched a lot of cartoons.
To be fair, the other two women I was with were white. I definitely have multiple types.
I also think the features I find attractive are not as common in circles I'm in.
Idk if this is a bit or if its sincere but either way I love it and relate
Funny enough I was watching Ghostbusters with my son last night and it made me realize that I'm almost certain Janine Melnitz was my formative first crush.
And yes: my ideal type to this day is still quick witted nerdy introverts with dry deadpan delivery, and I have an oversized glasses and short hair fetish to boot. I much prefer dark hair over red...but the redhead part was a later addition in the sequel/animated incarnations so it still fits.
EDIT: Oh, also big shoutouts to Malificent. If I somehow find all of the above in someone with an evil dark queen alter ego I'll know I've found the one.
Oh man you should totally watch it (X Files that is), most of it holds up pretty well as it never really relied on effects and more on conceptual shit.
Yea I miss when I could indulge in all that weird speculative conspiracy shit without knowing that most of it all basically leads to Nazi shit.
I do really like looking into the origins of those same conspiracy theories though and how it all gained traction. Look up Bill Cooper if you haven't heard of him, he was a big early peddler of alien conspiracy stuff and his whole story is a fucking wild one. In fact without him the X-Files probably would never have existed.
I know robert is a contentious figure around here but the behind the bastards episode on him is really good.
There's a few episodes of Knowledge Fight about him too if you're into that, he's a real piece of shit but it's interesting to see the inception of so much modern conspiracy culture
Allysa Milano. My life has pretty much been a collection of bad choices.
Princess Bubblegum from Adventure Time. I didn't care that she's a complex character, my teen hormones wanted a 827-year old mommy at the time.
Edit: If you're 827 years old hmu
