Imagine talking about the deficit at all when a quarter of the economy has fucking vanished

The answer is that the national debt is nowhere near as important as it's made out to be. We should be rejecting the "we need to lower the debt" argument altogether.

idk about that. what I know for sure is the military budget dwarfs all the social welfare programs combined. if she's truly a hawk, she'll cut those programs before she even considers taking a cent away from the military.

But she wasn't one when she was at the Fed and her job was printing lots of new cash for the big banks.

That's not happening before socialist revolution on US soil becomes a credible threat. FDR only adopted Keynesian policies and created a welfare state to pacify an increasingly organized working class and to stabilize capitalism while the oligarchs were howling in protest the whole time. The only reason FDR even pulled that off was because the fascist-sympathizing layers of the ruling class who tried to assassinate him got snitched on by Smedley Butler.

Dems actually have been trying to end public education for about 10 years now. They became obsessed with charter schools around 2010 when that stupid documentary 'Waiting For Superman' came out.

Republicans are all for private schools for the rich. Dems are all for charter schools. Bipartisanship effort for defunding public schools.
