Running was great for my recovery from a horrible knee injury this year. In PT I went from walking with a bad limp to being able to push a weight sled across the fake turf.

I've been really lazy lately, so I've been making sure to walk 4-5 miles a day

This is a good idea for me. COVID killed climbing at my gym, and now winter has put biking on pause.

I'm gonna do some now actually.

After hunting craigslist since the beginning of the pandemic I found an absurd deal on a concept 2 rowing machine that had just been posted less than an hour prior. $200 when most of them are going for $1000+. Been using that 3-4 times a week, all in all I'm down 80 pounds from my heaviest. I ballooned up after my mom passed last year and now I'm back down to what I weighed before, hoping to blow right past it though and get into genuinely good shape for the first time in my life

I've been doing calisthenics at home consistently since the pandemic started which has been great.

My current goal is to run a 10k. I was never much of a runner until the last few months, but it's gotten to be pretty fun for me.

I'd love to run but my technique is messed up from playing football (soccer). I run on my toes with my weight shifted forward and if I try to correct it I end up running wierd and risking injury. Can't wait for summer to go back out with a ball.

I got back into running when the gyms closed during this second wave, and i just find it enjoyable aside from the health benefits; I am currently doing around 5 km / 6 days a week. I plan to increase my distance slowly and who knows; i might be in shape to run a marathon after all this pandemic craze wears off.

I've been doing bodyweight workouts at home ever since the pandemic happened in March. Went from being able to do only a couple pullups in a set to now being able to do about 15-16. Now I'm also using a weighted vest for some of my sets, because I think my max would only be 15-16 pullups if I didn't do some progressive overload. Idk when I would want to achieve it, but I would like to one day be able to do 20 pullups in one set. I've also made some progress in my ability to do diamond pushups, which activate the triceps more than regular ones, and I feel like I'm noticing a slight difference already in my arms within just the past couple weeks. I guess the key really is just eating enough protein, working out consistently, and getting as much sleep as possible, preferably 8 hours per night. Running is good too and I go on runs frequently, but I don't have any clear goals for that at the moment beyond preserving my lung/heart strength.

That's awesome, best of luck with it comrade! And also to all the other running comrades on here, may your shins remain ever unsplinted

PS for those starting out on running, I've heard a tonne of good things and never a bad thing about the Couch to 5k program, I think there's apps and stuff. I started running before it was a thing so I can't personally vouch for it, but runners are almost as contentious as leftists so if they all agree on something it must be pretty good.
