So much stupidity on this map, no way any research was done to make it beyond gut feeling

    • Cuba votes Trump ("If Miami Cubans did it, surely everyone on the Island will as well")
    • Northern Canada, where our Cons got 25-30% of the total vote, also Votes Trump (Whoever made this just assumed the territories are exactly like Alaska I'm sure)
    • I don't know enough about Mexican politics to comment, but I'm sure that's also very stupid
    • Curious how American depictions of a supposedly equal North American Union literally always depict it as dominated by American politicians/institutions/interests.

I don’t know enough about Mexican politics to comment, but I’m sure that’s also very stupid

literally every state voted for AMLO besides Guanajuato, the North is memed as reactionary but every campaign has to at least to pretend to be socdems or just get owned and people here actually y'know kinda dont like Trump that much while they probably have no opinion on Biden (at large)

no idea why Colima or Guerrero voted trump??? seems like they just picked shit at random

I guess queretaro is our Ohio? cause they make cars?

You clearly missed the other post about Cuba. If you read Jacobin you would know that Cuba is a actually a far right dictatorship.

Curious how American depictions of a supposedly equal North American Union literally always depict it as dominated by American politicians/institutions/interests.

That's the least stupid part to me. America would absolutely use its economic and military muscle to ensure that its interests always came first.

Most Libs (like the one who made this map) don't think that way. They genuinely think that if such a Union existed it would be entirely equal, democratic, and fair; but that that every other country will still inevitably conform to America completely on their own free will. The stupid part is thinking that American domination would persist if the entirely equal union they imagine was real.

Moreover, in the North American Union depicted here (with free and equal participation in national elections) I frankly couldn't imagine Quebec voting for Biden or Trump, much less everywhere else. Anyway, America already uses their economic and military muscle to ensure that their interest come first in the Americas, it's just that their interests do not include letting the countries they brutally exploit vote in their elections. If Puerto Rico can't get the Electoral votes after over a century in the U.S, in what world would they possibly give it to Cuba?

Yeah because Americans will be fine with letting 140 million Spanish speakers become citizens.

America in the 1800s literally decided not to conquer Mexico because it was decided that they didn't want brown Spanish speaking Mexicans to be part of their country.

I have a lot of alternate history scenarios that annoy me, and America Bigger is one of them.

I did see an interesting AH scenario on Reddit where the Confederacy wins the Civil War, but later has a Communist revolution in the 1930s.

Most Alt History annoys me because 90% of it is made by people with an extremely shallow understanding of History, and none of materialism.

That said, I do love good AH, and I'll check out the communist Confederacy one

tbh the CSA would be ripe as shit for communist revolution if it won. it would be largely agrarian just like russia, slavery of black people and pseudoserfdom of poor whites, with a handful of cities producing everything, just like russia. it would be largely sanctioned except by maybe brazil. the communists might win that war due to the huge black population in the south, but i can guarantee the union would crush that shit if there was no internal pressure to stop an invasion of the south during a southern civil war

itd be hilarious if the south tried to do the golden circle plan like they thought they were gonna do after the civil war. pancho villa and zapata would liberate america and make it socialist.

Americans genuinely believe 99% of the Cuban population wants Free Market Capitalism and Castro is the only Communist who ever lived there.

I can , however, imagine a colonized Cuba voting for Trump specifically as a means of shattering the empire.

What of we did colonization, but we also did it with lots of flat pastel colors and YouTube videos shot in glass office buildings with well dressed minorities (not too dark) talking about how liberating their savage homelands is actually woke.

They’re idiotic beyond reason. Nunavut has always been an NDP riding, that’s practically the Bernie sanders party, why would they vote for trump. Why would anyone make this without a basic understanding of party affiliations outside their tiny little bubble
