Frustratingly, I can neither organize nor participate in a proper rent strike because I pay my rent to the organization that provides me with disability services (its 43% of my monthly earnings or whatever that percentage is for subsidized housing, entirely SSI and SSDI in my case) and THEY pay the actual rent to my landlords.
Kinda sucks.
Yeah. Most of the people who have directly worked with me for the organization have been good people, even the one kinda Fox News-infused old dude is really kind and gentle. But the arrangement is really fucked up.

Yeah the guy who owns the building I live in literally lives on the opposite side of the country from me.

That's actually super based though. If we can spread enough stories like that around, it could absolutely inspire people to do it for real.
Or at a minimum put some fear in the leeches who are draining the lifeblood from poor folks during a pandemic.
