MO checking in. We also passed accepting federal funds for ACA and my county passed a fine on payday loan places just for existing.
Damn, that's awesome! Those loan places are disgustingly predatory
City subs tend to fluctuate in activity. Mines 90% small business owners, gentrifiers, and tourists most days. If something like this happens though, all the workers hop on and start posting and commenting.
nyc is the most garbage reactionary, racist, right wing sub, tho its interesting that the newyorkcity sub is way better since all the non ghoulish ppl started using that one instead, theres a bit of a feud between the two which is pretty funny
I guess the size of the city plays into it. Mine's only got 10,000 in city limits and 50,000 in the county.
R/NewOrleans is excellent. Makes me proud to live here (the rest of Louisiana tho...big ol' oof)
Member of the Seattle City Council since 2014, member of the Trotskyist organization Socialist Alternative. Probably the most visible anticapitalist in American politics.
I'd say so, shes pretty much the only one that build her brand around specifically being a socialist, though Julia Salazar whos a state senator in nyc is also openly Marxist and was recently on Revolutionary Left Radio and i'm pretty sure that makes her the only elected politician to get interviewed by an ML and publicly praise Lenin and Marx lol
i will do my best to make this happen. give us your energy and help us will it into existence
Nice. When I was still a lib a few months ago I kicked a bunch of money her way. Glad for her.
I read a report she lost last night based on mail in ballots so I was elated to see the full results this morning
yeah those idiots jumped immediately to assume she lost and reported it like that before 1% of votes were in lmao
