I carry a knife on me at all times. If I'm ever attacked by a herd of feral chuds (or anyone really) I'm 100% whipping it out to defend myself. I really hate living somewhere with no open carry and may-issue conceal carry.

And you can buy guns in MD, it's just impossible to get a CCL and you can't open carry pistols. There is a rifle 12ft from me right now. I could just illegally carry a gun but I'm not an idiot and realize the chances of me getting arrested for that are probably much higher than actually using it to save my life.
A knife is honestly the worst weapon. Not only is it a really shitty weapon; without it, even chuds(outside of cops) are very unlikely to murder you purely out of fear of retribution by the state(which will still prosecute many of them). With one though, they then gain the ability to kill you and call it self defense.
If you're going to carry a lethal weapon to defend yourself with, carry a gun. But the reality is its probably better not to carry a weapon outside of OC spray.
