      His campaign strategy is:

      1. Hope no one notices you to minimize fuckups and exposure of your terrible record.
      2. Hope shit gets so bad between now and November that Trump is unelectable.

Honestly probably the best strategy you can ask for with that shitty of a candidate.

Right, we learned from the primaries that knocking on doors doesn't matter. Having a motivated and committed base doesn't matter. The media narrative matters.

Right, we learned from the primaries that knocking on doors doesn’t matter.

That's not the right takeaway from the primaries. The key here is that what works for a centrist Democrat won't necessarily work for a left-leaning outsider, and vice versa.

Bernie needed to knock on those doors and got a lot of positive results from it. People liked him more the more they heard about him, and a physical campaign presence showed that he was running a serious and popular campaign. Biden doesn't really need to knock on doors (because he's a serious candidate by default), and it's debatable how much door-knocking would help him (because no one is really going to get excited about him if they learn more about his campaign).

I don't think any amount of door knocking could have overcome the bullshit of 2020, but I'm not saying we should change strategies as much as I'm saying we should think about how to make sure their bullshit doesn't work next time. Democrats trust CNN (AT&T) and MSNBC (Comcast), love too be getting all my news from giant telecom monopolies. We need to think about whose loyalty the party believes it needs, because those entities are our enemies.

I've been getting nonstop Biden ads online and on TV, but I live in a swing state so that's probably why.

I'm imagining a symbiotic relationship between the arrogant and the grifters where people who don't give a shit tell the people who write their paycheques what they want to hear

I have been called by the local democratic party, but they're self motivated and entirely volunteer run, so I don't think it counts

The vast majority of dem nominees would've had their campaign be a post-it note that says "I'm not Trump".

Since this is hellworld I still am not convinced that is enough.
