Not that they'll necessarily succeed, but just try something.

Think about it: These people literally, unironically believe that Biden/Harris are Satanic, cannibalistic, commie pedophiles who illegally stole the election from their God Emperor (Appointed by Jesus himself) and are going to round up and execute all Patriotic White Christian Americans. These people also have way more guns on average than normal people due to this psychotic paranoia.

Are all of them really just gonna stand by and "let that happen"?

Personal prediction: At least one chud will be detained by the Secret Service for trying to get in to the inauguration with a pistol or something, but no one will be seriously hurt or killed, much less Biden/Harris.

my favorite is the guys who tried to build a death ray to take him out and got caught when they went to a random synagogue and asked somebody there if there were any other enemies of israel they would like them to assassinate

this was based on memory and rereading the article i got a detail wrong (they called a synagogue and asked them to help assassinate obama and other enemies of israel, they did not ask for additional targets) but other than that it is real

Just before obama got elected the first time I said "if McCain wins, he'll have a heart attack from the surprise and die, and if Obama wins he'll be assassinated by a racist"

I've been surprised my whole life that I've never seen an assassination attempt on any president

Also, inb4 something like that does happen and it turns out it was actually the dnc to get joe out of the way as he gets progressively more foggy and hard to control, maybe starts spilling stuff he shouldn't idk, that would be hilarious

I've seen a sitting pres give a speech in person. You wouldn't be able to get anything through security. I don't feel comfortable discussing this any further. 👀

I still don't understand how we still haven't seen at least one determined individual building a drone with a small explosive payload. You can do that without radio control, only with GPS points and pattern recognition when you near the target with platforms such as Ardupilot. You can even do that without GPS with good enough inertial sensors. I see little way to counter such an attack, especially (though not only) if you use a drone you build with tilt rotors - they can switch from VTOL to a forward "plane" mode that's way faster than usual quadrotor drones. Here for an example of such a drone.

Several reasons. Drones can't carry much cargo. So their explosive payload would have to be small. Improvised explosives tend to be very heavy, even heavier than normal explosives. Explosives by themselves aren't very effective, they need shrapnel, something to splinter. Anything that would be good for this would be very heavy. Any drone big enough to have a good enough payload would be huge, easy to spot and shoot down. And not commercially available.

I was thinking a 500g bloc of explosive surrounded by nails/bolts and the like would be more than enough (and small-ish amateur drones can easily support such a payload weight - battery life doesn't matter anyway, even if it's 10 minutes that enough range to make sure you're launching from a safe point). You're detonating this in a sphere of around two meters at worst around your target in my scenario; even a shitty explosive like TATP seems like it would work. Maybe I'm wrong and I highly overestimate how those explosives perform ?

As for commercial availability, it doesn't matter, they're easy enough to build by yourself. And a tilt rotor drone (or even just an old-style radio-less independant plane with ardupilot) would go fast enough that reaction time would likely not be adequate - neither from the target itself nor from his/her security detail.

You probably are way overestimating how well explosives perform. They need something strong to hold them in and let pressure build to be effective. Grenades are usually made of relatively thick cast iron or steel. This is heavy.

As for security reaction to such a thing, there is no doubt they have gone through the possibilities and have some sort of antidrone defense in place. They already plan for snipers by obsessively sweeping a wide area, so the nearest safe area to launch a drone would be far enough away they would have plenty of time to react with whatever specific weapon systems or countermeasures they decide to use, and get the target into an armored vehicle.

That's interesting; I'm still not fully convinced the concept is entirely not viable but thank you.

Nah, the Q people will probably just convince themselves that Biden's a hologram and that Trump is still managing the US government from an undisclosed Army base in the Balkans. Trust the plan.

I feel like anybody who would have been susceptible to decentralized grooming to be convinced of something like that has been on a watch list for years already and would be arrested on their driveway the morning of. That's of course assuming that somebody in the NSA does their due diligence for right wing threats. But who's to say for the right wing?

Will there be attempts? Absolutely. Will any be competent? I don't think so. Secret Service are pretty competent and as far as 'deep state' goes, Biden admin is a perfect combination of being a rallying force for conservatives, while also being completely subservient to the upper class.

I expect them to just start calling Trump the shadow president or president in exile or something. They will also create a theory saying the presidency actually limited Trump's power and now he is free to really attack the deep state.
