    Raphael Warnock

"Reverend Warnock also understands that affordable health care is a moral imperative. As an advocate and pastor, Warnock has spent years fighting for the fundamental right to health care. That’s why Reverend Warnock is committed to expanding affordable access to health care in any way possible, including through a public option and early Medicare buy-in. But Reverend Warnock also understands how personal decisions of health care can be, which is why he will never support efforts that take private insurance from those that want to keep it.

(November 6, 2020 / JNS) Georgia Democratic Senate candidate Rev. Raphael Warnock, who advanced on Tuesday to a January runoff against incumbent Republican Sen. Kelly Loeffler, signed a letter last year that likened Israeli control of the West Bank to “previous oppressive regimes” such as “apartheid South Africa” and suggested that “ever-present physical walls that wall in Palestinians” are “reminiscent of the Berlin Wall.”

      Not flawless, decent.

A lot of folks here used to be radical liberals. There's a difference between someone who'll call Israel an apartheid state and some neolib pisspig toeing the Democratic Party line.

Agreed, I think it's fair to hold elected officials to a higher standard though. If you're that into politics and you're still a liberal, something's wrong. I was a rad lib when I only read the news once a week and it took a few months of paying attention to go "hey, we should probably kill the bourgeoisie".

“hey, we should probably kill the bourgeoisie”.

But you're never going to get to the point where you can be an "elected" official if you say that. Not even our big red boy Lee Carter will go that far during a campaign.

I'm pretty OK with politicians pandering to libs, because you have to pander to libs to win, and pandering doesn't actually do anything.

Yeah, but saying "execute the bourgeoisie, workers of the world unite!" When you think it is one thing, supporting M4A which is one of the most popular policies in the history of this country is another. Compromising on the compromise is a bad sign.

Bernie's provision that prevents scam artists from selling you coverage that you already enjoy is smart economics but dumb politics. At least, in the United States, anyway.
