I wonder if they'll turn their threats into action one day, or if these big wet boys who happen to be armed to the teeth are just larping as freikorps.

It's all a LARP until it isn't. How many of them are hanging on the greenlight from a paranoid authoritarian facing imprisonment if he loses power? How many will turn more radical with the economic crash or worse repeat of Obama's failures in more dire conditions? If this boomer can kill 60 people with the same guns they're hoarding, they don't need to be smart or fit or lucid or coordinated to do the kind of death squad shit they've got the infrastructure and motivations for.

Thank goodness we tossed out Nixon and elected Gerald Ford to replace him.

I don't think he'll get federal charges, but New York seems serious about state-level charges.

These people can't even give up a tiny amount of "freedom" by wearing a mask, there is no way they would be willing to throw away everything in an armed insurrection. A few individuals, sure, but a mass movement, no chance at all.

Sure, but when those few individuals escalate tensions further do you think conditions will improve toward some kind of national unity between you and people who think you should die of a disease before their privileges are impacted or degrade toward encouraging more cohesive violence? Those people are just the martyrs they rally behind, the Kyle Rittenhouses and Dylan Roofs and Elliott Rodgers and Ted Kaczynskis they see as confirmations of their worst fantasies. There is a mass movement on a civil level, they have entire propaganda networks and militias and a culture of their own. They don't have an inciting incident to boil over yet, but when that does happen you've got a giant mass of likeminded but irrational people with guns. If even one of them sits in a tall building with an off-the-shelf gun, they could kill dozens at a protest and set a completely different tone for every event and action afterward.

It's like a loose boulder resting at the top of a hill. It's a large sink of potential energy. Whether or not they have the stones to follow through, they are armed to the teeth and extremely alienated.

Doing my part to fight the The Demonrats by continuing to pay my fines to the HOA for having too many Trump lawn signs. Take that libs.
