Wait so I can get mad at Amazon and laugh at a dumb small business tyrant in the same thread? It's a Christmas miracle.

Yeah for real there's no good guys in this story.

      Amazon can fuck off.

      Dropshippers can fuck off.

Oh also people who buy a cheap tripod to try and support their expensive camera gear are idiots.

It's like those gaming PC builds which cheap out on the mobo and power supply, putting the rest of the parts at risk. The type of guy that does this also always think they're super clever because the specs are more or less the same as well.

Is there really a huge difference between mobos though? The thing that matters most is the chooser and as long as you get a rated board with an official choosey you should be in the clear right?

Yeah, I got a similar feeling from the article.

This year, Amazon has zeroed in on Shopify Inc., a fast-growing Canadian company that helps small merchants create online shops. Amazon has established a secret team, “Project Santos,” to replicate parts of Shopify’s business model, said people familiar with the project.

Like Amazon is scummy and all, but what the fuck do you want, a patent on business model?

Not on the business's side as they basically contribute very little of value here, but the argument might be that Amazon is such an important part of the logistics and last mile infrastructure in America that in order to prevent a monopoly we need to either nationalize it or split it up. If Amazon (or Walmart) were a collection of small regional companies they wouldn't be able to decide which businesses survive at the click of a button, they also wouldn't have the downward pressure on employee salaries they currently do.

I mean such is the problem inherent with monopolies. They have enough money to just copy your business model at a lower price and undercut you out of the business. And Amazon seems like they wanna compete in everything.

Another Christmas miracle! We get to hate on Amazon, and the :freeze-peach: shitheads at Shopify that host Breitbart's merch store? Satan Claus has truly blessed us today.
