This is the same city that spent $240 million hiring cops to arrest people for turnstile hopping to try and prevent $200 million in lost subway fares, and that was under a mayor who was about as left-ish as you could conceivably get without the NYPD deciding regime change is needed

Not a NYC guy but from what I’ve read Stringer is probably the best guy who had a chance of winning? He plays nice with the left but I can’t imagine he has the stones to stand up to the NYPD or anything. Also endorsed Warren in 2020 :/
The NYC mayors race is a total shit show and if anything Yang going into the race will help whatever blue lives matter ghoul that comes out of staten island eke out a win.
