If normally agree, bit they're pushing for more police and standing by allowing hundreds of thousands to die. There isn't even a pretense of humanitarianism that usually comes tacked on to liberalism.

America's liberal democracy was/is a slave colony. It's claim to "humanitarianism" has only ever applied to the bourgeois class. McConnell is an American bourgeois democrat. He is not a fascist.

I'm using the generally accepted definition of fascism

Fascism describes the states formed from the deformation of bourgeois democracies into an explicit dictatorship of a faction of the bourgeoisie. McConnell is interested in protecting the bourgeois democracy in the face of fascistic tendencies of Trump post-election.

Someone interested in preserving the bourgeois democracy would be feigning humanitarianism right now. He's driving it into the ground at full speed and stripping any notion of the system being for the people. He's an accelerationist at best.

He is defending the institutions which provide the bourgeoisie democratic rights. He is a bourgeois democrat, not a fascist.

"Bourgeois democracy" describes a type of capitalist state. "Accelerationist", "Humanitarianism", etc do not.

Again, America's bourgeois democracy was the largest slave state in human history, not very "humanitarian"...
