They raised over a billion dollars with her. That was the whole point I think. Trump has been a godsend to that awful corrupt party. They have raked in the campaign donations thanks to him, and then they go on to do nothing with it.

They could've actually spread out the money from McGrath to other senate races, but that wasn't important. Just unseating Trump was, to hell with the Senate. Biden is supposedly amazing and will work with Republicans who label him a communist baby killer.

We also need to consider third party options, such as drawing and quartering, or the guillotine.

When will you realise it's time to reach across the aisle and compromise? We guillotine him, then we put his head on a pike

Remember when the Western Allies stormed the beaches at Normandy to vote the Nazis out of France?

If normally agree, bit they're pushing for more police and standing by allowing hundreds of thousands to die. There isn't even a pretense of humanitarianism that usually comes tacked on to liberalism.

America's liberal democracy was/is a slave colony. It's claim to "humanitarianism" has only ever applied to the bourgeois class. McConnell is an American bourgeois democrat. He is not a fascist.

I'm using the generally accepted definition of fascism

Fascism describes the states formed from the deformation of bourgeois democracies into an explicit dictatorship of a faction of the bourgeoisie. McConnell is interested in protecting the bourgeois democracy in the face of fascistic tendencies of Trump post-election.

Someone interested in preserving the bourgeois democracy would be feigning humanitarianism right now. He's driving it into the ground at full speed and stripping any notion of the system being for the people. He's an accelerationist at best.

I went lurking on there and some other lib subs the past few days and these people literally live in fantasy land.

On one hand, you have a bunch of centrists that think Biden is amazing and that neocons are also the "good Republicans" and they basically get erections at the thought of them working together. The thought of the GOP spending the next few years investigating Hunter Biden and pushing that like they did Benghazi, is a thought that has never crossed their minds. Nor has it crossed their minds that the GOP is more fascistic than ever and they have a bunch of QAnon believers headed to Congress. Not sure how Biden is going to meet in the middle and find the holy awesome compromise with them. These people literally want him to accomplish nothing and will be happy for it. They'll be telling us the next few years how gutting social security and entitlements is actually good cause Biden wants it.

On the other hand, they spend more time bashing DemSoc progressives than they do Republicans. They're mad as hell at Sanders and AOC for not backing the NDAA. Not one single word about how the NDAA is a terrible authoritarian policy right next to the PATRIOT Act. Obama wrote it, therefore it's good. There's no criticism whatsoever to Biden, or any other centrist Dems, they can do no wrong.

I cannot get over how arrogant and smug they act just for winning the presidency. They've completely spun the narrative. Before the election they were yelling for months how it was going to be a "blue wave" for all 3 branches, and a Dem landslide. They lost the Senate and are in position to lose the House in 2022, yet they act so arrogant that they got Trump out.

All of our problems magically go away when there's a 50/50 Senate, because Dems have a really great track record of party discipline and Manchin, Sinema, removed, and the rest DEFINITELY won't vote along with Republicans often enough to stymie whatever meager progress the Dems propose.
